East Kentucky proposed to build a 345 kV loop from the Spurlock Station to the Zimmer-Stuart 345 kV transmission line.  The project required 1.7 miles of double circuit 345 kV transmission line from the Ohio border to the Zimmer-Stuart 345 kV transmission line.  The Board approved the project on February 12, 2004.  Construction of the transmission line is complete and the line is energized.
