Rolling Hills Generating, a subsidiary of Dynegy Corporation, has constructed an 800 MW simple-cycle generating facility in Wilkesville Township, Vinton County. The Board issued the certificate in June 2001. The facility connects to the AEP 765 kV transmission system. The facility consists of five combustion turbine generators; two of the units have selective catalytic reduction systems for the reduction of NOx emissions. The facility became operational in July 2003.
