The applicant proposed to install three 170 MW GE 7FA gas turbines for peaking power. National Power Cooperative, Inc. has contracted with American Electric Power (AEP) to build the plant in Van Wert County.
The application was submitted on February 29, 2000. The Staff Report was issued on July 3, 2000. The Public Hearing was held on July 19, 2000 at the Municipal Building, 608 North Canal Street, Delphos. The Board approved the project on September 5, 2000.
The facility became fully operational on July 22, 2002.
