Four additional combustion turbine generators (320 MW) are to be installed at the Tait Peaking Facility in Montgomery County.The application is an  amendment to the certificate issued in March 1994, for the first three combustion generators (210 MW).

The  amendment  was received December 23, 1999.  The Staff reviewed the application and determined that the environmental impacts had not changed significantly from the original evaluation of the facility.  The Board approved the Amended Certificate on July 17, 2000.  The facility is now under construction.  In addition, the second natural gas pipeline from the Derby regulating station to the Tait generating station has been installed and placed in service.  A pre-construction conference for the natural gas line was held on August 10, 2001.

The second natural gas pipeline has been installed., and the facility became fully operational on May 9, 2002.
