DPL Energy has proposed to construct a 300 MW simple-cycle electric peaking facility in Stokes Township, Madison County. The facility would include six Pratt & Whitney Power Systems FT8 Twin Pac combustion turbines. The power plant would be fueled primarily by natural gas, with fuel oil as a backup fuel.
On September 25, 2002, DPL Energy filed a motion with the Board to withdraw its application. DPL Energy´s motion was approved by the Board and the case was closed on January 21, 2003.
