The applicant is proposing to build a 640 MW merchant plant, gas-fired simple cycle, in Bloomfield Township, Jackson County. Jackson Generating Company, LLC is a subsidiary of Entergy Power Generation Company, The Woodlands, Texas. The project will use four General Electric 7FA engines.
The application was submitted on September 8, 2000. The public informational meeting was held on July 27 at the Lewis Family Restaurant. The Staff Report was issued February 1, 2001. The Public Hearing was held on March 8, 2001. The project was approved on April 23, 2001.
An Entry was signed at the January 21, 2003 Board Meeting withdrawing the case.
