The company proposed to install two 42-MW combustion turbines, adjacent to the CG&E West End Substation. The proposed site is in an industrial area just west of the Brent Spence Bridge (I-75 over the Ohio River).
The application was filed on September 28, 2000. Additional data was submitted to the staff January 29, 2001. The application was declared in compliance February 2, 2000. The Staff Report was released April 25, 2001 and the Public Hearing was held on May 10, 2001, 6:30 PM at the Cincinnati City Hall, Room 312. The project was approved by the Board on June 18, 2001.
On January 28, 2003, the applicant requested that the certificate for the facility be cancelled. The Board cancelled the certificate on March 17, 2003.
