On June 21, 2007, Columbus Southern Power Company (referred to as “AEP-Ohio”) proposed to construct a double circuit 138 kV transmission line to be built in Pike County, Ohio. The Applicant’s Preferred Route is approximately 5.9 miles long and the Alternate Route is 8.5 miles in length. A public informational meeting was held on June 26, 2007. The application was filed on October 10, 2007. The staff report was filed on March 24, 2008. The public hearing was held on April 8, 2008, and the adjudicatory hearing commenced on April 15, 2008. A joint stipulation with recommended findings of fact and conclusions of law was filed on May 9, 2008. The Board approved the certificate on June 2, 2008.

On June 2, 2008, the Board approved a certificate for 5.9 miles of double circuit 138 kV transmission line to be built in Pike County, Ohio. On August 12, 2008, the Applicant filed an amendment to the certificate. This amendment involves relocation of 1.46 miles of transmission line located on Department of Energy property. The Department of Energy has requested the relocation. The staff report was filed on September 19, 2008, and the amendment was approved on October 28, 2008.
