The Applicant plans to construct approximately five miles of double circuit 345 kV transmission line, including related facilities, to provide an interconnection for their proposed electric generation plant (ref: 06-1358-EL-BGN).  The new transmission line would be connected to the existing 345 kV Sporn-Muskingum River Transmission Line, located to the north.  The line would be installed on self-supported steel structures.  These poles would typically be approximately 150 feet in height and have conductor spans ranging from 750 feet to 1,200 feet.  The line requires a 150-foot r-o-w to maintain reliability.  An application was filed on October 31, 2007.  The Applicant requested an indefinite continuance on April 8, 2008.  On May 8, 2008, the Applicant requested that the hearing schedule resume in 60 to 120 days.  The staff report was filed on October 7, 2008.  The local public hearing was held on October 22, 2008, and the adjudicatory hearing commenced on October 27, 2008.  The Board certificated the Preferred Route on November 24, 2008.
