The Applicant is proposing to install approximately 8 miles of 20-inch high pressure natural gas pipeline in northeastern Wayne and southwestern Summit Counties. The western terminus would connect with the Applicant’s Chippewa compressor at an existing storage yard in Chippewa Township, Wayne County. The eastern terminus would connect with the Applicant’s Shoop Station in Franklin Township, Summit County. Approximately 2.5 miles west of Shoop Station, the pipeline would also interconnect with the Applicant’s Franklin Station, in Franklin Township. The Applicant states that the purpose of the proposed pipeline is to provide greater flexibility to store gas during warm weather months and deliver gas from storage to distribution markets during cold weather months. The application was submitted on September 26, 2008. The Board issued a Certificate for this facility on March 23, 2009.
