COLUMBUS, OHIO (April 4, 2019) – The Ohio Power Siting Board (OPSB) today authorized Willowbrook Solar I, LLC to construct a new 150 megawatt solar farm in southwest Ohio.
The Willowbrook Solar Farm will consist of solar photovoltaic panel arrays occupying up to 1,726 acres in Eagle Township in Brown County and Concord and White Oak townships in Highland County. Willowbrook Solar plans to begin construction during the fourth quarter of 2019 and to place the solar farm in service by the first quarter of 2021.
In other business, the OPSB authorized Paulding Wind Farm IV LLC to construct a 2.89-mile long electric transmission line in Paulding County to support the Timber Road IV Wind Farm. The OPSB also approved AEP Ohio Transmission Company’s request to make engineering adjustments to the company’s Yager-Desert Road 138 kilovolt Transmission Line Rebuild Project.
