OPSB to reschedule public hearing in Seneca Wind Farm case

COLUMBUS, OHIO (Feb. 1, 2019) – The Ohio Power Siting Board (OPSB) today suspended the procedural schedule in the pending Seneca Wind Farm case, including the local public hearing that was previously scheduled for February 19 in Tiffin, Ohio.

On Jan. 29, 2019, Seneca Wind, LLC and the OPSB staff filed a joint motion to suspend the procedural schedule to allow OPSB staff more time to complete its review of the application.

The OPSB will issue a new procedural schedule, and set a new date for a local public hearing, at a later date.

The proposed Seneca Wind Farm would be situated on approximately 56,900 acres of leased private land in Scipio, Reed, Venice, Eden, and Bloom townships. The facility would consist of up to 85 wind turbines with a total generating capacity of up to 212 megawatts.

Additional information regarding the proposed facility is available on the OPSB website at www.OPSB.ohio.gov in case number 18-0488-EL-BGN.
