OPSB approves Trent-Vassell transmission line

The OPSB today authorized AEP-Ohio to construct a 3.1-mile long overhead 138 kilovolt (kV) electric transmission line from the Vassell Substation east of Sunbury to AEP’s existing Trent-Delaware 138 kV line adjacent to the existing Trent substation.

OPSB sets Sunbury public hearing on AEP transmission line proposal

The Ohio Power Siting Board (OPSB) will hold a hearing to provide the public with an opportunity to testify about AEP Ohio Transmission Company’s proposal to construct a new 138 kilovolt transmission line in eastern Delaware County. The proposed transmission line route would travel between 2.6 and 3.1 miles just east of the village of Sunbury and reinforce AEP’s existing transmission system in Central Ohio.

Ohio Power Siting Board approves construction of Black Fork Wind Farm

The Ohio Power Siting Board (OPSB) today approved an agreement that authorizes Black Fork Wind Energy to construct a wind farm along the Crawford and Richland county line. The facility will consist of up to 91 wind turbines capable of generating a combined 200 megawatts (MW) of electricity.

The Ohio Power Siting Board (OPSB) will hold a hearing to provide the public with an opportunity to testify about the proposed Black River Substation Project in Lorain. American Transmission Systems, Inc. (ATSI) proposes to construct a 138-kV substation and associated transmission upgrades to support the expansion of Republic Steel’s operations.

OPSB approves construction of transmission line in Clermont County

The Ohio Power Siting Board (OPSB) today authorized the city of Hamilton and American Municipal Power (AMP) to construct a 2.2-mile long 138-kilovolt (kV) electric transmission line in Clermont County. The new transmission line will connect the 105-megawatt Meldahl hydroelectric facility that is under construction in Bracken County, Kentucky to the existing 345-kV Zimmer-Spurlock transmission line in Ohio.

OPSB sets public hearing on Ackerman Road gas pipeline proposal

The Ohio Power Siting Board (OPSB) will hold a hearing to provide the public with an opportunity to testify about Columbia Gas of Ohio’s proposal to construct a natural gas pipeline in northwest Columbus. The proposed pipeline would run approximately 1.5 miles from the south side of Ackerman Road to a tie-in point along West Tulane Road.
