COLUMBUS, OHIO (June 7, 2017) – A local public hearing to allow the public to express their views about an AEP Ohio Transmission Company (AEP Ohio Transco) proposal to construct a new electric transmission line in Monroe County will now be held:
June 28, 2017 at 6 p.m.
Monroe Central High School
469 Lewisville Road
Woodsfield, OH 43793
This replaces the previously-announced hearing location, but remains scheduled for the same date and time, due to scheduling conflicts.
The proposed Herlan-Blue Racer 138 kilovolt transmission line would travel approximately three miles through Franklin and Seneca townships. AEP Ohio Transco states that the new transmission line would help the utility meet increased demand for electricity in the area and help ensure the continued reliability of the transmission system.
An adjudicatory hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. on July 12, 2017, at the offices of the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio, Hearing Room 11-D, 180 E. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215.
