OPSB schedules local public hearings for two proposed northwest Ohio wind farms

COLUMBUS, OHIO (Apr. 6, 2010) – The Ohio Power Siting Board (OPSB) has scheduled a public hearing to give local residents an opportunity to express their views regarding the Heartland Wind, LLC proposal to construct up to 175 wind turbines across Paulding and Van Wert counties. The turbines would have a combined generating capacity of approximately 175 megawatts.

The local public hearing is scheduled for:

            June 8, 2010 at 5 p.m.
            Crestview School
            531 East Tully Street
            Convoy, Ohio 45832

The OPSB will hold and adjudicatory hearing June 17, 2010 at 10 a.m. at its offices in Columbus.

The OPSB also scheduled a public hearing for the Paulding Wind Farm, LLC proposal to construct 23 to 27 wind turbines across Paulding County. The turbines would have a combined generating capacity of approximately 50 megawatts.

The local public hearing is scheduled for:

The OPSB will hold an adjudicatory hearing June 29, 2010 at 10 a.m. at its offices in Columbus.
