OPSB schedules public hearing for proposed Butler County electric generating facility
COLUMBUS, OHIO (Aug. 18, 2008) – The Ohio Power Siting Board (OPSB) has scheduled a local public hearing to provide citizens with an opportunity to express their views regarding Middletown Coke Company’s application to construct a 67 megawatt electric cogeneration station in Middletown.
The local public hearing is scheduled as follows:
Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2008 at 5:30 p.m.

Middletown Coke Company, a subsidiary of SunCoke Energy, is developing a coke oven facility to provide coke to AK Steel's Middletown Works. The company proposes to utilize waste heat from the coke plant to generate electricity.
