OPSB sets hearings for proposed transmission line upgrades in southeast Ohio
COLUMBUS, OHIO (Oct. 20, 2016) – The Ohio Power Siting Board (OPSB) will hold a local public hearing to allow the public to express their views about AEP Ohio Transmission Company’s proposals to rebuild two electric transmission lines located in Belmont, Guernsey, and Noble counties. The local public hearing is scheduled as follows:

In its Speidel-Barnesville and Barnesville-Summerfield rebuild projects, AEP proposes to replace approximately 20 miles of existing 69 kilovolt (kV) transmission line with 138 kV line and new structures. AEP states that the upgrades are needed to improve the quality and reliability of electric service in the area.
An adjudicatory hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Dec. 15, 2016 at the offices of the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio, Hearing Room 11-D, 180 East Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215.
