OPSB sets public hearing on Ackerman Road gas pipeline proposal
COLUMBUS, OHIO (Oct. 26, 2011) – The Ohio Power Siting Board (OPSB) will hold a hearing to provide the public with an opportunity to testify about Columbia Gas of Ohio’s proposal to construct a natural gas pipeline in northwest Columbus. The proposed pipeline would run approximately 1.5 miles from the south side of Ackerman Road to a tie-in point along West Tulane Road.

The OPSB is responsible for reviewing and certificating plans for the construction of new energy facilities in Ohio. Before any company can build a new power plant, wind farm, electric transmission line, gas pipeline, or other major energy facility, the OPSB assures that the facility will benefit Ohio’s citizens, promotes the state’s economic interests, and protects the environment and land use.
