OPSB to hold Local Public Hearing for Melmore Substation

COLUMBUS, OHIO (March 17, 2014) – The Ohio Power Siting Board (OPSB) will hold a public hearing to provide area residents an opportunity to testify about the proposed Melmore Substation, to be located southeast of the city of Tiffin.

The hearing is scheduled for:

March 18, 2014 at 6:00 p.m.

American Electric Power (AEP) has proposed to construct the Melmore Substation to bolster northwest Ohio’s electric service and reliability. The proposed project would be located off of Township Road 17, north of Center Road, approximately 4 miles southeast of Tiffin. The permanent footprint of the project would be 2.4 acres.
