OPSB to hold Local Public Hearing for Middletown Energy Center

COLUMBUS, OHIO (Sept. 11, 2014) – The Ohio Power Siting Board (OPSB) will hold a public hearing to provide area residents an opportunity to testify about the proposed Middletown Energy Center in Middletown, Butler County, Ohio.

The hearing is scheduled for:

NTE Ohio, LLC proposes to construct a combined cycle natural gas fired facility with a generation capacity of up to 540 megawatts.  The Middletown Energy Center would be located on a 50 acre parcel of land, adjacent to A.K. Steel facilities south of Oxford Road.  The proposed project would connect to the electric grid through an existing 345 kilovolt electric transmission line that extends across the site.
